Under the Saraswati Sadhana Yojana, free bicycles are provided by the Gujarat government to scheduled caste girls studying in class 9th so that they do not have to worry about coming to school from home and reach school on time. 

Saraswati Sadhana Yojana for Girls has been implemented by Gujarat Government in the year 2019. This scheme is for SC/ST and OBC caste Girls.

Gujarat Saraswati Sadhana Yojana aims to improve the gross enrollment ratio for class 9. This scheme will promote girl education as the problem of lack of access, low participation and poor quality facilities will be addressed through this Saraswati Sadhana scheme.

Saraswati Sadhana Yojana Eligibility :

  • Permanent Residents of Gujarat.
  • Applicant should be Girl Student.
  • Girl Student should be studying in Class 9th.
  • The Annual Family Income of Girl Student should be ₹ ₹6,00,000/- in Rural Area.
  • ₹6,00,000/- in Urban Area Also.
  • Girl Student should be belong to Schedule Caste or Developing Caste.

Saraswati Sadhana Yojana Benefits :

  1. The following benefits will be provided to Girl Students studying in Class 9th under in Gujarat
  2. Free of Cost Bicycle will be given to Eligible Girl Students.

Who can benefit from this scheme :

  • Should be a scheduled caste Girl.
  • Girl should be studying in class 9th.
  • The annual income of the parents of the bride coming from rural areas should not exceed ₹6,00,000.
  • The annual income of the parents of the bride coming from an urban area should not exceed ₹6,00,000.

  2. Income certificate
  3. Caste Certificate
  4. Child's Age Proof (Birth Certificate)

  7. Bank Account Details.

How to Apply Saraswati Sadhana Yojana :

  • Eligible Girl Beneficiary doesn't have to apply anywhere to avail the benefit of free of cost bicyce under Gujarat Sarawati Sadhana Yojana.
  • Principal of School in which girl is studying will prepare the list of eligible girl beneficiaries.
  • Principal of School will then upload the list of eligible girl beneficiaries in Digital Gujarat Portal of Gujarat Government.
  • Recommended Applications of Eligible Beneficiary will then verified by District Social Welfare Officer.
  • After verification, Department will generate and disburse vouchers for beneficiaries to get free of cost bicycle.
  • Beneficiary has to visit the authorised bicycle dealer with the received voucher to get the free of cost bicycle.
To get the benefit of Saraswati Sadhana Yojana, the girl studying in that school can apply online through Digital Gujarat website through that school.
